The Polaris Ranger has been a wonderful machine for so many, Farmers, Ranchers, and booze - cruisers alike. Everyone loves the ability and versatility of the Ranger. The upright seating position and large bench seat means you can slip right in and haul a few people with ease and load the bed down with anything you can think of. The ranger has typically been regarded as the most versatile machine that Polaris builds which makes it popular to so many different varieties of people. There are Ranger 700 and 800 still running around on farms with 2500+ hours, which to me means only one thing, the clutch is worn slap out. We see so many of these machines local and abroad that have a considerable amount of miles and hours because they are tough and durable and run nearly forever. The primary clutch wont last as long as the machine though, and will need to be rebuilt or replaced around every 1000-2000 miles. Our primary we build for these machines will outlast the OEM primary clutch 5-1. We typically see 5000-6000 miles between rebuilds on our clutch system which will allow you to have years of reliable and powerful clutching without needing to worry about the clutch falling apart on you. The main benefit of our primary clutch is that it has twice as many weights in it as the stock clutch which means it produces double the amount of clamping force to ensure a positive and definitive grab to the belt. You can feel the clutch engage smoothly, but firmly so you can tell what the clutch is doing unlike the stock clutch that has a mushy feel and softer engagement because of the belt slip. Our primary will engage smoothly, but firmly, with twice the clamping force as stock, allow for more performance and faster acceleration and the possibility for more top speeds. In certain applications we will also recommend our new larger secondary clutch for larger tire applications. We have used this setup to power Ranger 800 4 seater in pulling 35+” tires with no issues. Our larger secondary clutch with longer belt will allow you to gain 30-33% gear reduction at engagement to give you the mechanical advantage to pull the largest of tires much easier than stock will allow. For the Ranger 900 we have built a complete new primary clutch that gives you tons of gains over the stock clutch, twice the clamping force at the clutch engagement, better pulling power, faster acceleration and more top speeds.
